PUBLIC NOTICE OF WAITING LIST CLOSURE.

The Galveston Housing Authority (GHA) will close its Public Housing waiting list and will stop accepting applications at 12:00 a.m. on November 1, 2016 . This closure will have no effect on applicants currently on the waiting list. If any applicant wishes to place their name on the GHA waiting list prior to the closing date, they may apply on-line at www.ghatx.org or via a paper application available from the GHA office at 4700 Broadway, Galveston, Texas, 77551 before 12:00 a.m. on 11/01/2016.There is currently no scheduled date to re-open the Waiting List. When GHA is prepared to re-open the waiting list, a public notice will be issued to give proper notice to interested applicants. If an applicant is already on the waiting list, no action needs to be taken at this time. However, applicants are still required to update their contact information in writing if anything changes from the time they submitted their application. The list will remain closed until further notice. NOTICIA PUBLICA DEL CIERRE DE LA LISTA DE ESPERA Programa de Vivienda Publica de GHA The Galveston Housing Authority (GHA) va a cerrar la lista de espera de la Vivienda Publica y dejara de aceptar aplicaciones desde Noviembre 1, 2016 empezando a las 12:00 a.m. Esta accion no afectara a los aplicantes que estan en la lista de espera . Si alguna persona desea poner su nombre en la lista de espera de GHA antes de la fecha de cierre, pueden aplicar en el internet a la siguiente direccion www.ghatx.org o llenar una aplicacion disponible en la oficina de GHA, 4700 Broadway, Galveston, Texas, 77551 antes de 11/1/2016 a las 12:00 a.m. Actualmente no hay fecha programada para abrir nuevamente la lista de espera. Cuando GHA abra nuevamente la lista de espera, se publicara la noticia dando a conocer la fecha de apertura a las personas interesadas. Si algun aplicante esta actualmente en la lista de espera, no necesita tomar ninguna accion en este momento. Pero, se require que los aplicantes actuales continuen renovando su information por escrito si hay cambios. La lista seguira cerrada hasta nuevo aviso.
