The Galveston Housing Authority (GHA) has initiated the “GHA-Connect” emergency notification system that allows the GHA to send important information and instructions during emergency situations to residents, property owners, landlords, and staff via e-mail. Email messages can be sent simultaneously to multiple email accounts to ensure the GHA community receives important messages during emergency situations.

With Hurricane Alex looming in the Gulf of Mexico just to the south of Galveston Island, now is the time to sign up for alerts. The form can be found in the Hurricane Information section of the GHA website. Filling out the form is simple and registrants will receive a confirmation message from the GHA. Only pertinent emergency information will be sent to those who register.
