Galveston Affordable Housing Solutions Roundtable

The Galveston Housing Authority invites you and your organization to participate in a roundtable discussion of viable affordable housing solutions for the city of Galveston. The purpose of this gathering of community leaders is to discuss and build consensus regarding several available mechanisms for the creation of affordable housing in Galveston. The Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS), a governmental entity whose mission includes helping to build better relationships through joint problem-solving and constructive response, will facilitate the meeting. Topics to be covered include the Galveston Housing Authority’s Home Ownership, Lease to Purchase and Project Based Voucher Programs, as well as an exploration of possible preferences for workforce members and full-time students. Please join us for this roundtable discussion essential to the creation of sustainable affordable housing solutions for our community and its citizens.
